Out-of-favour Fenerbahce striker Robin van Persie is not a target for Barcelona, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.
The former Arsenal and Manchester United frontman has endured a dismal spell in
Istanbul following his departure from Old Trafford in July, starting just five of his nine appearances for the Turkish club, scoring three times.
Reports in the Spanish media claimed Van Persie had attracted the attention of Barca boss Luis Enrique, who was reportedly looking to bolster his attacking options at the Camp Nou.

But Balague, speaking in his weekly Q&A session with Sky Sports, shrugged off the speculation.
He said: "There is a list of veteran strikers that would come cheaply [to Barcelona] and will accept a secondary role, but Van Persie is not on that list."

Despite having the likes of Neymar and Luis Suarez at their disposal, Barca have struggled to adapt to life without the injured Lionel Messi, losing their last game before the international break away to Sevilla.
Balague went on to confirm Barcelona's interest in acquiring another offensive player, a player with similar attributes to Sweden international Henrik Larsson, who enjoyed two trophy-laden years at the club from 2004.
Celta Vigo striker, and reported Arsenal target, Nolito has been linked heavily linked with a move to the Camp Nou, although Balague believes financial barriers could hamper such a signing.
